Encouragement For Husbands And Wives

I am the kind of person who loves weddings, but I also love seeing people stay together and witnessing marriages thrive. But unfortunately, so many marriages end in divorce, and many spouses take advantage of one another, treating each other as if they're worthless. So, I wanted to take this time out to encourage the husbands and wives, whoever you may be, who need it.

Your spouse is a jewel. And he or she was given to you for a reason, so please cherish, honor, and respect one another. Be a light in this dark world, don't be afraid to express your love to each other, and be careful not to speak down to each other, seeking not to embarrass one another. Be a positive example and don't be afraid to apologize when you've done wrong, because ego has no place in marriage.

Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it. Your desire to step out and "do you" needs to be under control, exercised through self-control. Wives submit yourselves to your husbands. Please do not take advantage of him, nor seek harm, nor undermine him. You were brought together for a reason, and many people desire what you have. Be a light. Honor your commitment and don’t give up. I’m rooting for you.
